What is a bachelor's programme?

A bachelor's (BA) programme or a professional bachelor's programme is a coherent education leading to a bachelor's degree. It is also called an undergraduate programme, however, at AAU’s websites, you will mostly see the term “bachelor’s programme”.

With a completed bachelor's degree, you can either enter the labour market, or continue your studies at one of AAU’s master's programmes and obtain a master’s degree.

At Aalborg University, a bachelor's degree takes three years – or six semesters – to complete.

What is a master's programme?

A master's (MA) programme is a coherent education leading to a master's degree. It is also called a postgraduate programme, however, at AAU’s websites, you will mostly see the term “master’s programme”.

Admission for a master's programme requires a completed bachelor’s degree from either AAU or another university. Some master's programmes also admit students with a professional bachelor's degree.
